The Odisha Government should gear up to create cyber crime squads in all districts to implement its strategy of tackling the increasing number of cyber crimes. Karnataka is the first State to set up a Cyber police station, and now, again taking the lead in creating cyber squads to face challenges at all levels.
“The 21st Century has thrown up new challenges. The internet is a double-edged sword. I don’t think we are protected from such attacks in our State. There are cases of bank accounts being hacked. So, it is of paramount importance to use technology to protect the people and investigate crimes. “Though 60% of software in India is developed in Karnataka, we are not secure in terms of cyber crimes. With the advent of internet, the world has become very small and one can get any kind of information within a minute. It is high time that the Stat Government should act.
