The Diabetes and Endocare Clinic in association with the IG Office, Southern Range and Brahmapur district police on Sunday organised a workshop on thyroid disorders here at the IG office.
Southern Range IG Amitabh Thakur inaugurated the free thyroid blood testing campaign for police personnel and family members of the officers from the IG office, district police office and other police stations under Brahmapur district police.
Additional SP Suresh Ghosh and Sadar SDPO Ashok Mohanty were present as guests. Consultant and endocrinologist from Diabetes Dr Sunil Kumar Kota was present as the chief speaker.
Dr Kota explained the police personnel about causes, symptoms and treatment of various thyroid disorders. He revealed that a free thyroid blood testing for general public would be conducted by the Diabetes and Endocare Clinic at the DPS, Brahmapur campus, lanjipally road on May 25, on the occasion of World Thyroid Day. A total of 180 police personnel were benefitted from the workshop.
