In a bid to impart quality education, five more Model Degree Colleges would be set up in the State under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
These educational institutions would be established each in Boudh, Deogarh, Nuapada, Nabarangpur and Subarnapur districts.
A total amount of Rs 12.50 crore has been allocated for the proposed degree colleges out of which the Centre would provide Rs 7.50 crore and the State Government would bear Rs 5 crore. A sum of Rs 2.50 crore would be spent for each college, sources said.
