Three dreaded Maoists surrendered before Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra here on Saturday morning.
The Maoists were identified as Muka Kunjami, Mukund Sodi and Muruda Kunjami. They were working for Padia Dalam of the CPI (Maoist). Mohapatra said Muka and Mukund have more than 20 cases registered in different police stations in the district. The State Government had announced a cash reward of `1 lakh on the duo, he added. The surrendered Maoists confessed that they left the outfit after realising that the Maoists had moved far away from their professed ideology.
