746 bags of adulterated material seized
Police on Sunday busted a gang of fake cement manufacturers and seized 746 bags of fake cement bearing names of big brands from a spurious cement manufacturing unit at village Fatepur under the Binjharapur police station in Jajpur district.
Police also arrested three persons, Rajiv Lochan Sahoo, Parikhita Mallick and Ratan Mallick, from the fake cement manufacturing site in this connection, said Jajpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Prasant Kumar Malla.
“The three arrested persons were booked under Sections 120 B, 420, 482 and 485 of IPC and Sections 78 and 79 of the Trade and Merchandise Marks Act, 1958, added the police officer.
