The CBI on Friday arrested Swastik India chit fund company director Manoranjan Nanda after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by a court.
Earlier, the CBI had arrested company chief Ranjan Das and directors Pramod Parida and Sabyasachi Pani on January 6 in connection with a money laundering case.
The Swastik group had been started by Das with help of a former director of the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group. They had mobilised depositors’ money from the AT to form the Swastik India. Das, who was also an accused in the AT chit fund scam, had previously been arrested by the CBI in September 2014.
