The Supratik Group and RK Jena Foundation have lent their support towards the flood victims by providing cooked and dry foods, garments and other essential items to them in Sadar, Basta, Baliapal, Remuna and Badasahi blocks since the day of the calamity.
While 16,800 packets food materials have so far been distributed among the distressed, the two organisations have set a target of distributing the materials among 40,000 victims. “We began distributing cooked food in Baliapal and Basta area for the affected people who had deserted their houses for the fear of Phailin. Further, we distributed food stuffs among the flood victims. After this, we will send a team of doctors to various affected areas,” Supratik MD RK Jena told reporters on Thursday.
