A poor family of Charda village under Binka block in Subarnapur district has been running from pillar to post to seek help for treatment for their 6- year- old daughter Rupali Seth, who is afflicted with kidney disease for last three years.
There is sadly no help from the Government side so far. Father Dala Seth and mother Padmini Seth are very poor and it is difficult to bear the expenses of their girl. Taking caring of her has been the couple’s main concern.
Rupali is unable to perform her normal works. Even eating, sleeping and sitting are painful for Rupali. She is always found sitting alone watching other girls play at the school. “I wish I could live like my friends and play with them,” Rupali said.
Her father brought her to many hospitals of Sonepur, Burla and other areas. But no change was found in her health. The family needs financial assistance for her higher treatment.
Moreover, Seth’s family is having all the criteria to avail the benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). They are of the BPL category. But they have not availed any house under PMAY. Now, they only have a ration card and a health card.
