The district level celebrations of annual cultural extravaganza, the Subarna loka Mahotsav, that showcases the rich culture heritage of Subarnapur, will begin here on April 1. The district-level celebrations would continue till April 7. Besides public meeting, the Mahotsav will be staged from April 1 to 5 and the Pallishree Mela and the loka Kala will be staged on April 6 and 7, said Collector Dasirathi Satpathy while presiding over a preparatory meeting. Various events like baby health show, quiz and dance competitions are lined up for the extravaganza. Among others, ZP Chairman Usha Kumari, ADM Biswanath Barik,SP PK Patra, CDMO Dr Subhalaxmi Guru, DFO Rasmi Ranjan Nayak, DPM Dr Mausumi Mishra and social worker Gobinda Maharana were present. DIPRO Bhujanga Bhusan Rao coordinated the programme.
