A joint eviction team consisting of officials from the BDA, the BMC, the GA Department and the Commissionerate Policeon Saturday demolished unauthorised constructions on the GA Department plots near the Airport New Road here under the Air Field police station.
During the eviction drive, one Tin shed comprising of two rooms was demolished and approximately 2,000 square ft GA land was made free from encroachment by the squad.
The land was free from encroachment earlier about two months back by the CEMC Squad but again encroached.
One excavator from the BDA was engaged for the eviction drive.
BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Patro, liasioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, Zone ACP BC Mishra, Air Field PS IIC DS Pratap and GA Department Under Secretary Bijay Mohanty were present during the demolition.
A platoon of gents APR Force and a Section lady Force were engaged at the site to maintain law and order.
