Street art, murals back in smart city

PNS

While the city is gearing up for the upcoming Hockey World Cup (HWC) 2023, the Street Art and Murals Project (STAMP) is back to Bhubaneswar.

The project was formally launched jointly by BMC and BDA to give a smart and cooler look to the Smart City with a congregation of modern and classic murals and motifs.

This time, the city authorities have reached out to citizens for their suggestions and ideas to curate a clean, cool and awesome Bhubaneswar with active participation from people from all walks of life for the unique public art initiative.

Earlier, around 6 lakh sqft wall arts and murals have been done back in 2017 and 2018. This time, the city authorities have larger plans for this year’s STAMP to include citizens voicing and ideating their own favourite area to get designed. In addition, the plan is to include organisations of national repute like Lalitkala Academy providing support and bringing artists from all across India with the State’s own artist community joining hands.
