The State Government has initiated a process for simplifying various revenue laws and enacting a unified law in order to help people get justice in an easier way.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheshwar Mohanty reviewed the progress of steps initiated by the department at the State Secretariat here on Saturday.
“Most of the laws have no relevance now. They need to be simplified and a unified law is required to be enacted. While common people will be able to understand a simplified law, it will be easy for revenue officials to provide justice to people,” said Mohanty.
The Minister advised Revenue Divisional Commissioners to attend the next meeting. He also advised for holding workshops and collecting people’s opinions at the RDC level.
