Another 315 persons tested Covid-19 positive in 27 districts and from the State pool on Thursday, taking the State’s total count to 3,29,621.
Of the new cases, 181 were reported from quarantine centres and 134 were local contacts.Cuttack district recorded the highest 41 cases followed by Balangir 40, Nuapada and Sambalpur 26 cases each, Khordha 24, Angul 20, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh 17 each and Jajpur 15.Besides, six cases were reported from the State pool.The number of total active cases stood at 2,592.
Two more persons succumbed to the disease on the day, with which the State’s total toll increased to 1,873. The deaths were reported from Khordha and Puri districts. However, 329 persons recovered on the day, taking the total recoveries to 3,25,432 in the State.
