To encourage employees of the State-run corporations, the State Government has decided to felicitate successful officials with cash awards and prizes every year.
A decision to this effect was taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
The honours and prizes would be given in seven different categories: the best Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Managing Director (MD), Company Secretary, Director Finance, Human Resources Development (HRD) Officer dedicated who helps business growth of corporation would be felicitated by the Government.
This apart, the best employee from the corporations would also be honoured at a special function to be held in April every year.
While the best CMD and MD would be given Rs50,000-cash prize besides citation, the best Company Secretary, Finance Director and HRD officer would get Rs25,000.
The employees recognised for their service in preserving corporation properties and best employee swould be given Rs10,000 each as cash prize besides citation, an official said.
