In yet another case of cyber security breach, the website of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was hacked on Wednesday morning.
The website www.ossc.gov.in was hacked by Philippine Cyber Syndicate, according to reports.
Visitors to the website came across a logo of the unknown organisation with a tagline ‘Anonymous …We are legion’. The hackers also posted the following message on their website: “Good day, Mr Administrator, we hacked your website security to deliver a message. We are Philippine Cyber Syndicate. We fight for freedom and equality. We hate government corruption. We stand as one to protect the cyber world against abusive people using our skills in hacking. Consider this as a warning’ is also written on the homepage of the hacked website.”
The OSSC lodged a complaint with the police, following which the Crime Branch is all set to probe the cyber crime.
Notably, the official website of the OUAT had been hacked in January this year by a hacker identifying himself as ‘Don’, who posted obscene matters on the website’s homepage.
