Former Union Minister Srikant Jena on Wednesday put three posers and dared All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi to respond to them publicly at his scheduled meeting in Bhubaneswar on January 25.
“Dalits and tribals are not getting 38.5-per cent reservation in admission into colleges and higher educations and Mandal Commission recommendations for 27 per cent reservation of backward classes have not been implemented. Will Gandhi declare that Dalit and tribal students will get the reservation and Mandal Commission recommendations will be implemented if Congress comes to power,” wanted to know Jena.
Alleging that there has been mining scam of over Rs 2 lakh crore in the State, Jena wanted that Gandhi make a that the assets of the mining mafia would confiscated and the mafias would be arrested soon after the Congress comes to powerJena also dared Gandhi tell people that the PCC president is not at all a “bribe giver”.
Jena said he would continue to expose Congress by furnishing data relating to corruptions committed by its leaders in coming days. He said a mining firm owned by a brother of the PCC president has already been charged of mining scam.
Regarding his ouster from the Congress on charge of indiscipline and anti-party activities, Jena said, “I had written two letters to the party’s Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh and AICC president Rahul Gandhi informed them that the PCC president had admitted in court that he was giving bribe to Government officers through his manager and urged them to oust him from the PCC chief post. However, they protected them and didn’t take any action. While I didn’t make public the letters then, how could I act against the party and became indiscipline.”
