Unravelling a house heist in Soro, which had taken place on June 16 night, police on Thursday arrested two persons, including a jeweller, and recovered part of the stolen ornaments.
The accused were identified as Sk Lalu of village Sabarpur, Baudevpur, and Antaryami Pothal, the jeweller, the receiver, of Purunabazar, Bhadrak. The loot had occurred in the house of Labanyanidhi Panda of village Brahmnasahi under the Sarasankha block of Soro. The looters barged into the house through the skylight and committed the crime after spraying intoxicating materials. Gold and silver ornaments of about 20 tolas were stolen from the house. The looter also took away a mobile phone and locked the house from outside before fleeing.
Notably, in the month of March, the marriage of the son of Labanyanidhi had been held and all the marriage ornaments were kept in house.
