The State Government has decided to introduce Decentralised Septage Management System in all urban areas as the underground sewerage system is very expensive, informed House Building and Urban Development Minister Pushpendra Singh Deo in the State Assembly on Friday.
Replying to a question of Ansuman Mohanty and additional questions of a few other members, the Minister said the system would en introduced in 26 urban areas in the first phase. later, this system would be extended to other cities, the Minister said. The sewerage system going on in Puri would be completed well before Nabakalebar festival scheduled to be in June-July, the Minister said.
