Union Secretary of Economic Affairs Dr Aravind Mayaram on Thursday expressed his dissatisfaction over the sluggish implementation of some of the Centrally-sponsored projects, including sanitation.
Mayaram, who reviewed the progress of the 35 Centrally-aided projects now under implementation at the State Secretariat, also met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Secretariat. later, he told reporters that some projects, particularly the one concerning sanitation, have been delayed. He advised the State authorities to expedite the projects for completion, he said.
However, Mayaram said that the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary assured him that steps would be taken to expedite the projects’ implementation for their completion in the timeframes.
