look at her paintings and they will instantly take you to a world of meditation. Each of her paintings has to say something silently.
The silence can only be heard if one engages himself with the works. Saswati Ray of Kolkata is holding her solo painting exhibition at theSuvadra Art Gallery here.
The exhibition bears no title, so are the paintings. “My works are conversational. They talk with the viewers. And, they would decide what title should my paintings have,” said Saswati, who previously held her exhibitions at the USA and Kolkata. Praising her works, Culture University VC Kamal Kant Mishra, who inaugurated the event, said the paintings are reflection of a state of mind. Her Sumo Art needs special mention, he added.
The medium she has used are water colour, acrylic, pencil and crayons.
