A two-day national media conclave titled ‘Social Responsibility of Media’ would be held here on May 3 to mark the International Press Freedom Day.
Media teachers, researchers and students of various institutes from across the country would join the conclave, informed IMS director and conclave convenor Upendra Padhi after presiding over a preparatory meeting here.
He said some sub-themes have also be selected to be discussed on the occasion. Topics on Media link with administration and general public, Media accountability in the changed society and impact of social media and digital technology would be held and research papers to be presented.
While the Institute of Media Studies (IMS) will organise the conclave, the Odishalive, a web channel, is its knowledge partner, he informed.
Several senior journalists were present. Odishalive CEO and Sammilani coordinator Nilambar Rath stated about details of the proposed programme.
