The Abhimanyu Pattnaik Smruti Samiti observed the first death anniversary of popular teacher and social worker of Ganjam Abhimanyu Pattnaik at Bharati Vidya Peetha in Ganjam town on Monday.
A meeting was organised being presided over by social worker Binod Mahapatra. State Planning Board Member Rama Chandra Panda attended as guest and recalled his four-decade-long association with late Pattnaik.
Besides, a number of initiatives were taken up the Samiti in memory of late Pattnaik to mark the event and a souvenir “Abhimanyu Smaranika” was also unveiled. A number dignitaries, elected representatives, government officials, scribes, advocates, disciples and a band of his close associates attended and paid floral tribute to late Pattnaik.
Among others, local MLA Dr Priyanshu Pradhan, Chitta Maharana, Surendra Mahanty and Sabita Das were present.
