Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare will visit Bhubaneswar to attend a national-level farmers’ conclave scheduled on November 6.
Veteran Gandhian and social activist is scheduled to address a large number of farmers at the conclave to be organised by the Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) at Baramunda, informed NKS convener Akshaya Kumar here on Friday.
Kumar alleged that even after five months since formation of the Government in the State following last elections, the beneficiaries are yet to get KALIA money. Besides, the crop insurance scheme has not been implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), he said.
Notably, the NKS has been demanding hike in the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy, pension and prestige for farmers.
