The Commissionerate Police have recorded statement of deceased doctorAtulya Chandra Meher’s wife to know the motive of the murder. But her statement gave a new twist to the murder story which confused the police to know about the target of accused Sneha Swakhyar Samal.
During the recording of statement, the slain doctor’s wife said Samal had warned her husband not to interfere in his scuffle with caretaker’s family. The accused had told Meher to leave the crime spot, she added.
The statement has led to confusion as to who was the target of the accused. “If Samal had told this to the doctor, then who was in his target,” police sources said.
However, this mystery would be solved after through interrogation of the doctor’s wife and Samal, said police sources. Meanwhile, the police have planned to bring Samal on remand for further interrogation.
