Family members of slain Ghatgaon Police Station IIC Dillip Kumar Sahoo, who on Saturday evening was shot dead by miscreants on the Deo river bridge in the Keonjhar-Mayurbhanj border area, demanded a CBI probe into his death on Monday.
“My husband was a very capable, transparent and intelligent officer. I believe that he was sent to chase the dacoit group in civil cloth without any security back up. Being the IIC of the police station why he did not take the police vehicle and security forces is a matter of investigation. Hence, we demand a CBI probe to unravel the whole matter starting from receiving the information about the dacoit group to the attack on him,” said Sarada, wife of the deceased cop. Similarly, the father-in-law of the deceased cop too urged the Government to order a CBI probe into Sahoo’s death.
