The Sivananda Centenary Boys’ High School at Khandagiri here has achieved new record performances in the annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination-2015 with all its students clearing the test with first class marks. The residential school, which has total 450 students from Class-VI to Class-X, has been registering cent per cent success rate in the HSC results since its inception in 1984.

At a Press meet here on Saturday, School Managing Committee member SN Tripathy said that while the lowest mark secured by the students is 67.55 per cent, the highest is 92.5 per cent. Of the total 79 students, who appeared at the test, four secured Grade-A1, 39 Grade A2, 33 Grade-B1 and three students got Grade-B2, informed Tripathy.

School secretary Swami Sivachidananda said the school, which imparts value-based education in a modern Gurukul environment, has achieved such feat due to the devotion and continuous efforts of the school fraternity, including its teachers. “Our teachers take extra care of weak students by conducting extra coaching classes for an hour after end of school periods. Besides, spoken English class is also conducted every week,” he said. Among others, School Headmaster Kailas Mohapatra and joint secretary Swami Jagannathananda were present.
