The opposition BJP has categorically rejected the SIT probe by the State Government over the murder of 5-year-old girl Pari in Nayagarh district.
Meanwhile, the Government has asked the Orissa High Court to depute a judge for monitoring the investigation, but the court is yet to decide on the State Government's request.
As a result, the Government is misleading the probe and protecting the culprits, rued BJP State vice president Parvati Parida while speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday.
"We are not fighting only for Pari. However, our efforts are on to give justice to the families those who have been suffering due to the missing of their children in past few years.
The BJP has decided to launch a Padayatra from the Lingaraj temple to Jadupur, the native village of deceased Pari, and we request the general public, social activists and NGOs working for childcare to participate in the Padayatra," Parida requested.
The Press meet was attended by district BJP president Satya Brata Mohapatra, BJP leaders Rajkishor Behera, Sampad Swain, Krishna Mohanty and Jagannath Das.
