The State Government would provide Rs 1,000 as annual assistance for uniforms to each member of women Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved a proposal in this regard.
As per the decision, the government would also provide Rs 2,000 as assistance for uniforms to each Executive Committee (EC) member of Gram Panchayat Level Federations (GPLFs), Block Level Federations (BLFs), District Level Federations (DLFs) and Management Committee (MC) members of Area Level Federations (ALFs) under the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
As many as 70 lakh SHG members would get Rs 1,000 each as assistance for uniforms. Similarly, around 1.5 lakh EC and MC members would be provided Rs 2,000 each for the same.
