A youth was arrested and forwarded to court by Bonei police of Sundargarh district allegedly for raping a woman and threatening to kill her on Wednesday. Sources said the victim, a resident of Barkot had married a resident of Jakeikela under Bonei police station five years ago. The couple has a three–year-old daughter. About a month ago, the victim had fallen in love with one Raju Patra(20), a resident of Jakeikela. Raju Patra had promised her to marry.
Accordingly, Patra had told the woman to leave her husband’s house on June 26 night and she obliged.
Patra allegedly had taken the victim to a forest area under Bonei police station and promising her to marry her, had kept physical relationship with her. On June 27, he had taken her to a dilapidated house at Kenabheta and had kept physical relationship with her.
