A constable of Sundargarh district was arrested and forwarded to court by the K Balang police on Monday afternoon allegedly for kidnapping his lover (a minor girl), raping her and forcing her to commit suicide.
Accused Ismail Munda (30), a native of Ghusirposh village under lahunipara police station of Sundargarh district, an APR constable and who was in charge of security of Bonei MlA laxman Munda was staying with a minor girl (16) of Sankhaposh village under K Bolang police station area.
On July 14, both Ismail and the minor girl had allegedly quarrelled over some issue. On July 15, Ismail after coming from his duty had noticed his door locked from inside and the girl was hanging from ceiling.
After receiving the news of death of the girl, his father and other members of the family had on Sunday morning lodged a complaint, alleging kidnapping, rape and murder of the girl by Ismail.
