Yet again, an allegation surfaced in the police department. A woman alleged that a Constable engaged in Vigilance department has sexually exploited him for months.
The complainant while lodged an FIR with the Nilgiri police, the latter after registering a case of rape began an investigation. The accused Manorajan Majhi is absconding and placed under suspension, said police sources. According to the complainant, she came in contact with the accused in the month of June and subsequently they became closer and their relation became physical following more intimacy. The accused exploited her sexually in the promise of marrying her. She said she was lodged in Baleswar town, Kasafal and Bhubaneswar in different periods and was exploited by him.
On August 13, he hired an auto rickshaw for her and asked her to return to her native village Nilgiri. Since then there is no trace of the accused.She initially approached the Town police and later lodged an FIR with the Nilgiri police.
