The Commissionerate police on Friday busted a high-profile sex racket operating in the city and rescued five girls, including three Thailand nationals. Two persons, who are said to be customers, were also arrested.
Sources said the police raided a spa in the busy Kharavel Nagar area, where the flesh trade racket was active.
Earlier, police had some decoys to the spas, and after being assured that a sex trade was operating under the guise of a spa, the raid was conducted. Sources said the spa used to offer services to high-profile clients.
The police recovered some Thai passports, mobile phones and a register containing names of the clients.
Earlier too, police had busted similar sex rackets involving foreigners in the Chandrasekharpur and Kharavel Nagar areas. Police informed that an investigation would be conducted to find the persons who brought the Thai girls and the middlemen involved.
