Niankhunta.com proprietor Pradip Pandey, one of the parties in the defamation suit filed by BJD leader and BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, submitted the controversial sex clip CD in the Civil Judge (Senior Division) Court here on Monday.
Sources said Pandey submitted the clip along with three scripts in the court. The clip and the scripts were uploaded by Pandey in his website, raising the controversy last month.
On Monday, Pandey and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) State president Itish Pradhan deposed before the court for hearing in connection with the video purportedly featuring Mayor Jena.
Both Pandey and Pradhan have been demanding examination of the CD at the Central Forensic laboratory.
Notably on December 16, the Mayor filed civil and criminal defamation cases against Pradhan, Pandey and five local TV channels in the Civil Judge (Senior Division) Court appealing to impose ban on the indecent video telecast.
Both Pandey and Pradhan have been alleging that the Mayor has filed the libel suit against them with an intention to dilute the probe into the suspicious death of engineering student Asutosh alias Rishi Mohanty.
