Seven contractual Hindi teachers who were appointed at seven High Schools in Balangir district by producing fake certificates have been booked under Sections 420 (forgery) and 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating) and Section 34 of the IPC.
According to sources, all these seven persons at the time of their appointments a few years ago were able to get jobs by submitting forged certificates of Central Hindi Institute, Agra. Meanwhile, out of the seven fake Hindi teachers, six persons have submitted their resignations which were accepted by the district education officials immediately.
Exemplary legal action will be initiated against the seven persons, said District Education Officer Sanjaya Kumar Singh. “We have registered a case and legal action will be initiated against the accused persons soon,” said Balangir police station IIC Tareeque Ahmed. Notably, a few years ago a racket was busted in the district which was preparing fake tribal caste certificates to various job seekers.
