Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati on Thursday emphasised on building the General Administration Department (GAD) as a model of good administration.
“Jagannath consciousness is the soul of Odia culture. In the lord’s Nabakalebar year, let us take prompt decisions and transform the department by providing right and professional services,” Pati told GAD officials on the occasion of New Year celebration organised by department’s Cultural Council. He emphasised on lessening of file burden though use of information and technology and formalising land management through computerization in order to achieve coordinated development and beautification of all areas under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
Permanent president of the Council and GA Principal Secretary Niten Chandra said officials can achieve professional development through self introspection and self rectification. He advised the staffs to quit habit of putting blame on others and discharge duty rightfully. Among others Mahal Director Ramnarayan Dash, Additional Secretary Nandakishore Sethy and Finance Advisor Chhotray Murmu were present. Sangh working president Ashok Kumar Mohanty highlighted about objective of the brainstorming convention and Sangh president Bibekananda Samal presented New Year messages.
