Members of the Baristha Nagarika Manch (Senior Citizens’ Forum) on Friday took out a rally and staged a demonstration before the RDC office here demanding early payment of the 11% more DA to State Government employees and pensioners.The organisation also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the RDC (Southern Division). Forum president Trinath Maharana alleged that on the sheer pretext of Covid-19 pandemic, the three slabs of DA due in January and July 2020 and January 2021 along with health/medical allowance were not paid by the Government to its employees and pensioners causing serious financial inconvenience to the retired employees.
