Barsa Swony Choudhary, daughter-in-law of former Minister Raghunath Mohanty, on Thursday pleaded at the SDJM court to expedite her dowry torture case, which she filed under the Domestic Violence Act, for early disposal.
“The opposite parties are not receiving the court notices sent in their native place as well as Bhubaneswar addresses. Keeping this in view, my client Barsa prayed for sending the notices through a special messenger to which the court has agreed,” her lawyer told mediapersons.
Barsa Swony had on October 21 filed domestic violence case in the SDJM court against her husband Rajashree Mohanty, mother-in-law Pritilata Mohanty and father-in-law Raghunath Mohanty.
