Continuing with its crackdown on the Seashore Group of Companies as part of its ongoing probe into the mega chit fund scam in
the State, the CBI has found that the company had made a huge investment in a technical institute here.
A senior official of the Central investigative agency said the Bhubaneswar Institute of Technology (BIT) was among the several Seashore-linked locations raided simultaneously on Thursday.
During verification of documents at the BIT office, it was found that Seashore CMD Prasant Kumar Dash had provided Rs9 crore to the institute.
“Taking a lead on the findings, we are planning to investigate some other technical institutes,” the CBI official added.
