The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch seized a luxurious Mercedes-Benz car from the possession of Seashore Group CMD Prashant Dash. The EOW located the car from Mumbai where Dash was arrested by the police.
The seized car ‘Ml 320 CDI’ worth Rs 50 lakh bearing an Odisha number plate ‘OR 02 BA 4300’ would be brought back soon, said Crime Branch DIG Rajesh Kumar here on Wednesday. Notably, the EOW sleuths had also seized a luxurious BMW car worth approximately Rs 50 lakh from the possession of Dash. Meanwhile, the EOW wrote to the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) to annul an agreement it had signed with the Seashore Agricultural Promotional Company for establishing a solar power plant in Titlagarh of Balangir district. The agency also planned to seize the deal money of Rs 2.5 crore given by the company to set up the 20 mega watt solar power plant, said the EOW sources.
