A permanent campus of the Skill Development Institute (SDI) here was dedicated to the nation by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday in the presence of Union Minister of Education and Skill and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas RameswarTeli and other eminent personalities. The event was also attended by IndianOil Chairman SM Vaidya.
The IndianOil has contributed Rs 255 crore for setting up this institute and planned a further investment of Rs 80 crore. The SDI permanent campus is located at Jatni and built over an area of 16 acres allotted by the State Government. The event also witnessed Bhumi Pujan for a permanent campus of ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology)-IOC, Bhubaneswar, for which the IndianOil has contributed Rs 95 crore.
The institute is offering multiple courses, including MTech, Executive MTech, Integrated MTech and PhD.
