School waives fee for Galwan martyr's kids

The Kerala Public School (KPS) at Rairangpur, in a show of gratitude to Galwan warriors, has decided to impart free education to all the three daughters of martyr Nuduram Soren.

Nuduram, the worthy son of Mayurbhanj, was one among our 20 war-heroes, who had laid down their lives at Galwan in the intervening night of June 15-16 in the process of their heroic efforts to stop the Chinese transgression into the Indian territory.

Late Nuduram, who was from Badachampauda, a tribal village some 6 km from Rairangpur, is now survived by his wife Laxmi and three daughters. The three daughters, Ganeswaree Soren, Manasi Soren and Sonali Soren, are all students of Kerala Public School, Rairangpur, which is a reputed English medium school of the region. While Ganeswaree reads in Standard-IX, Manasi and Sonali read in Standard-VI and Standard-I, respectively. Nuduram used to pay their school fees regularly.

Now, in the wake of the supreme sacrifice of Nuduram, the school, as a fitting tribute to this brave son of the soil, has taken a decision on granting free studentship and imparting free education to all his daughters.

The move is being widely hailed here among the conscious circles. Meanwhile, MP Achyut Samant has also announced to take the responsibility of higher education of the martyr's children.
