Amid widespread resentment over translocation of the Royal Bengal Tigress "Sundari”, the State Government on Friday transferred Angul district’s Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary DFO SMT Rehman.
The 27-month-old tigress (T-412), since its relocation from Bandhavgarh in Madhya Pradesh in June this year, is not comfortable in the Satkosia forest and has been moving the whole forest without creating its own territory.
The tigress has killed a woman of Hatibari of Angul district besides preying on several cattle in the forest villages.
