Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s closest political aide Saroj Sahu, who had been banned from the Naveen Nivas after being questioned by the CBI for his alleged role in the chit fund scam, has quietly reentered Patnaik’s residence. Sahu, known as BJD supremo Patnaik’s Man Friday, is back to doing what he does to Patnaik’s best satisfaction: managing both political and official businesses of the boss, according to reliable sources. The difference this time is he is keeping a low profile.
It is reliably learnt that Patnaik chose to lift the ban on Sahu’s entry to his residence after being persuaded by advisors that he could spill the beans and cause more embarrassment for the party and the Government if not rehabilitated. Sahu had hit headlines after the CBI called him on November 22 for questioning for his alleged links with Seashore CMD Prashant Dash.
