The CBI Special Court here has asked the Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) to produce Saradha Group chief Sudipto Sen and director Debjani before it on October 27 for hearing in the chit fund scam case.
Similarly, the District and Sessions Judge Court here has also instructed the Bhubaneswar DCP to produce Seashore Group CMD Prashant Dash before it on October 28.
Recently, the CBI had taken Micro Finance limited (MFl) managing director Ashok Patnaik on a nine-day remand for interrogation. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch police had arrested Patnaik on the charge of duping the public on June 29.
Notably, the Saradha Group has duped investors of the State of around Rs 100 crore while the Seashore Group has duped thousands of depositors of around Rs 1,000 crore after promising them hefty returns.
