State Block Grant Sanskrit College Sangha have joined the movement of Block Grant College staffs’ 662 category.

The Sangha has been demanding 100 per cent Block Grant since last three years, but the Government has yet to fulfil the demand, said Sangha president Golaka Nayak.

Members of the organisation also informed that they would present their demands before the Government with Block Grant College staffs’ 662 category.

The Government had given 40 per cent Block Grant to 662 category and 40 per cent grants to the Sanskrit colleges in the year 2009.  In 2014, the Government extended 100 per cent Block Grant to the 662 category colleges, but Sanskrit colleges did not get any grant, complained Sangha workers in a Press release.
