The Samruddha Odisha on Thursday decided to launch two campaigns in the State to make people aware about the ruling BJD’s corruption and the inaction of the two national paties, the Congress and the BJP, in fighting the BJD’s misrule.
On the occasion of the Samruddha Odisha’s foundation day, its general body discussed at length the political situation of the State. Party leaders said they would launch two campaigns, ‘Mu Gadhibi Samruddha Odisha’ (I’ll build develop a prosperous Odisha) and ‘Nua Odisha Gadhiba, Puruna Dal Chadiba’ (let’s build a new Odisha and shun the old parties). The party leaders led by its president Jatish Mohanty formed a campaign committee and selected Jogacharya Anamswamy to lead it. The party would sensitise people to create an alternative political party rejecting the BJD, the BJP and the Congress.
Party general secretary Prabir Mohanty said they would prepare a blueprint to hold the campaigns successfully across the State. “The BJD and the Congress ruled minerals-rich Odisha most of the times, but still we are poorest in the country. To develop the State, we need to change the leadership through a new alternative like the Samruddha Odisha,” he added. More than 100 people joined the party in the presence of party leaders. Several saints and intellectuals also joined the party, said its general secretary.
