The Utkal Sammilani welcomed the State Cabinet’s approval of a proposal asking shops and commercial establishments to display signboards in Odia and thanked Chief Naveen Minister Naveen Patnaik for the decision.
The Sammilani’s Mancheswar branch president Dillip Dashsharma said due to the lack of employees in labour Department, the proposal was not being implemented properly. He suggested that bank ATMs and other such counters need to have Odia signboards.
He said the department should use new technologies to implement the decision. Shops and other business establishments should upload their signboards online every year
He said if new technologies are adopted for checking the Odia signboards, there would no need of taking decisions in this regard again and again by the Government.
