The Utkal Sammilani at its general body meeting held at Jeypore adopted Bande Utkal Janani as the State anthem. Attending the meeting as guests Rajya Sabha member Baisnab Charan Parida and former Union Minister Braja Kishore Tripathy released a colour leaflet prepared by the Sammilani which highlights the proper singing method of the song’s ghosa, first, fourth and sixth lines.
Sammilani State unit president Dr Guru Prasad Mohanty, vice president Binod Bihari Mohapatra, Dilip Dassharma among many other State level leaders and activists of all 32 organisational districts participated in the meeting.
