A family of Musakata village under the Charmal police station has levelled serious allegations against a doctor and the police of the concerned area.
The family has also knocked at the doors of the district Superintendent of Police (SP) that in the death case of one of their family members laxman, the role of the cops during probe and the doctor performing the post mortem are suspicious.
As per information, laxman Behera and Ashirbad Pradhan of Musakani village are good friends. But Ashirbad was in love with one of the relatives of laxman to which the latter protested and this created enmity between the two. The enmity reached such an extent that Ashirbad openly threatened laxman to kill him if he comes on his way, alleged the family members to SP AK Singh.
But on November 16, Ashirbad asked laxman to come with him to watch an opera show. Because both were old friends, laxman didn’t deny and went with him to Helei village to watch an opera show. But he didn’t return the next day morning. On the other hand, some friends of Ashirabad informed Kartik Behera, the father of laxman that the dead body of his son was found on the railway line.
The family members lodged an FIR in the Charmal PS and police after making preliminary investigations sent the body for postmortem to the Redhakhol Sub-Divisional Hospital.
When contacted, the SP said the postmortem report indicates that the death took place due to train accident. “Still on the allegation of the family members, a fresh investigation will be conducted into different angles to unearth the reason behind the death,” Singh informed.
