Sports Authority of India(SAI) of Cuttack have stormed into the final of 10th All India Biju Patnaik Memorial Football Tournament by defeating Tata Football Academy (TFA), Jamshedpur in a thrilling pool-A semifinal match by 3-1 goals via through tie-breaker at Ispat Stadium in Rourkela on Tuesday. The Pool B match to be commenced from Wednesday and the winner of the Pool B will face SAI, Cuttack in final bout. The nail biting semifinal match between SAI and TFA ended in 1-1 goal draw in the stipulated time.
Arjun Naik of SAI scored a goal in the 11th minute. TFA bounced back in style and leveled the score in the 21st minute with the goal of Udanta Singh. SAI goalkeeper Soumya Das made all difference in the tie-breaker round and the registered a convincing victory and Soumya bagged the man of the match award.
